High-Precision Coherent D/A Converter

The SL-G700M2 is equipped with a High-Precision Coherent D/A Converter, incorporating advanced technologies that convert digital values into analogue signals with unparalleled precision, delivering them to an amplifier. This comprises coherent processing, high-performance dual monaural D/A converters, and an exclusive discrete amplifier circuit.

The dual ESS ES9026PRO DAC chip ensures exceptional performance. With symmetrical placement and independent transmission structures, the dual units reduce interference, faithfully reproducing sound images and musical spaces present in the source material.

The filter circuit after D/A conversion employs a unique discrete configuration for the amplifier circuit instead of an operational amplifier IC. This configuration enhances responsiveness and signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), reproducing even the most delicate sounds.

Coherent Processing Technology

Technics' proprietary coherent processing technology enhances the reproducibility of impulse signals by minimizing amplitude and phase deviations occurring throughout the D/A conversion process for signals up to 192 kHz PCM using proprietary digital signal processing*. This processing elevates sound purity and clarity of sound imaging. *Direct input of DSD signals, such as Super Audio CD, bypasses this processing.

Multi-Stage Silent Power Supply

Digital audio players handling small signals demand robust noise suppression. The Multi-Stage Silent Power Supply offers three stages of noise suppression: (1) High-speed switching power supply, (2) low-noise regulator, and (3) current injection active noise cancelling.

The high-speed switching power supply operates at around 300 kHz, minimizing noise interference within the music playback bandwidth, achieving a highly responsive power supply.

The low-noise regulator ensures stable power supply with minimal noise, optimizing circuit patterns for superior performance.

Current Injection Active Noise Canceling

The current injection active noise canceling feature eliminates unwanted noise components by applying an inverse phase current to detected noise. Utilizing the push/pull method combined with conventional noise rejection through current drawing, it achieves highly effective current noise rejection.

Super Audio CD and MQA Support, USB-B Input

The SL-G700M2 supports playback of Super Audio CD and MQA for enhanced sound quality. It features a dedicated "Pure Disc Playback" mode for Super Audio CD/CD playback. MQA decoding playback, along with various other high-resolution formats such as WAV/AIFF, FLAC/ALAC, and DSD files, is supported.

Additionally, it boasts a new USB-B port for constant connection to a network audio server or PC to play high-resolution sound sources.

Wide Music Source Support and High Connectivity

The SL-G700M2 supports Chromecast built-in™, AirPlay 2, Wi-Fi®, and Bluetooth® wireless connections, providing access to a wide range of music streaming services. Firmware updates will gradually extend support for compatible music streaming services.

Housing and Chassis for High Sound Quality and Elegant Design

The chassis of the SL-G700M2 is divided into four independent sections - power supply, digital interface, analogue circuitry, and disk drive sections - minimizing circuit interference for sustained sound quality. The three-layer chassis configuration for the disc drive, along with vibration-damping construction and a die-cast aluminium disc tray, ensures precise disc playback.

Externally, it features a 7mm-thick hairline-finished aluminium front panel, 3mm-thick aluminium side panels, and an engraved Technics logo for a sophisticated, premium design.
