The Tannoy Mercury 7C is a dedicated centre channel speaker which are voice matched to other models in the Mercury 7 range. It is compact enough to fit in smaller TV cabinets, but still powerful enough to match the big Mercury 7.4 floorstanders. detailed and strong sound is delivered by two 127mm (5") mid/bass drivers and a 28mm (1.1") tweeter in a rear-ported, horizontal cabinet.
Designed to easily integrate into a Mercury 7 5.1 channel surround sound system, the 7C delivers clear dialogue and focused central vocals for multichannel music. It can handle 240 Watt peak power and boasts 91dB/watt efficiency. A 32Hz upper frequency extension makes it capable of getting the best from High Resolution multichannel audio, while its 62Hz bass response is an ideal match for typical AV receiver bass management systems.
The Mercury 7C is available in walnut, light oak or black oak luxury wood grain effect finish. A full baffle grille in dark-weave cloth gives the 7C home cinema installations the perfect ‘black-out’ look. The grille can be removed to highlight the drivers and trim detail. Each speaker is supplied with energy-absorbing rubber feet and dual foam port bungs to tailor bass output to the installation environment. With a heavyweight cabinet, high fidelity drivers and typical Tannoy attention to detail, the Mercury 7C will do justice to any movie soundtrack.
