Connect the Yamaha R-N301 hi-fi receiver to your home network via Ethernet and there's almost nothing it can't play.
Laptops, smartphones, tablets and NAS devices will all stream an extensive range of file types from standard MP3s to hi-res 24-bit/192kHz FLAC and WAV files. There is a built in AM/FM tuner and other radio sources are taken care of by Spotify Connect, Pandora and vTuner internet radio. Analogue wired inputs allow connection of an existing CD player, for instance, and there are digital audio inputs for TV or a Blu-ray player.
Despite the Yamaha R-N301's undeniable usability, this is a receiver that puts sound quality first. The electronic design minimizes the length of signal routes; the transformer is placed near the power amp circuit in order to reduce power loss while improving peak power supply capacity to enable high volume output. And with an output of 100 watts per channel RMS, it's never short on power.
The Yamaha R-N301 delivers great sound quality and amazing versatility at a bargain entry-level price.
