1 x MARANTZ CD6004 CD PLAYERThe Marantz CD6004 is a smart, robust CD/MP3 player, using high grade components to ensure stunning detail and clarity from your CDs and digitally stored music, including your iPod.
It features a Cirrus Logic (CS4398) digital to analogue converter, analogue stereo output, coaxial and optical digital output and support for CD-Text. The CD 6004 will also play MP3, Windows Media Audio (WMA) and AAC (iTunes) files either from CD-R/RW discs created on a computer or from compatible USB memory sticks, flash drives or portable MP3 Players. Lots of intelligent construction has gone into the MA B-X2 speakers. Both the 165mm bass/mid-range driver and the 25mm tweeter utilise cones made from C-CAM (Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium), a material originally developed for jet engine components by the aerospace industry. This extremely rigid material ensures audible consistency and a cohesive soundstage, and eliminates distortion. The bass/mid-range driver has a single bolt-through design rather than being fixed to the front baffle. This stops it transmitting vibration and reduces sound colouration.
