Based on the award winning 2020 speakers, the Q-Acoustics 2020is (the i stands for improved) are medium sized bookshelf/standmount speakers which deliver a full bass and clean top end making them a very attractive choice. The flexible 2020is are comfortable with any music genre and suitable for use with most amplifiers, in both hifi and home cinema set-ups.
Their two way, bass-reflex configuration allows the 2020is to deliver a sound which is both impressively detailed and weighty. This is largely due to the advanced driver technology. Improvements over the 2020 speakers include a new multi-layer cone tweeter with 'super-decoupling' from the speaker's baffle. There's also a new carbon fibre and ceramic-coated paper woofer, resulting in incredibly low levels of distortion for a smooth, open sound. The revised crossover ensures a spacious, detailed soundstage, with a clean top-end and impressive bass performance.
They also feature an innovative connection system. Instead of terminals protruding from the rear of the speaker in the conventional manner, the 2020is' terminals are located in a recessed panel on the bottom of the speaker. This means the speakers can be mounted flat up to a wall using the separately available
wall bracket which also gives tilt and turn movement (see accessories tab above).
Available in a choice of striking finishes, the Q-Acoustics 2020i speakers will look and sound exceptional as part of your home cinema or hifi system.
