In a surround sound system the centre speaker delivers most of the narrative aspects of the soundtrack, so it has to be up to the job for you to properly enjoy the experience. The KEF Q600c is a 3-way speaker which delivers just such a generous and full performance. Mid and high frequency sound is handled by a Uni-Q driver with a 165mm bass/mid-range driver and a 25mm aluminium dome tweeter with 'tangerine' waveguide, whilst there is a 165mm bass driver and a 165mm auxiliary bass radiator for low frequencies.
Other clever features include the link switch for choosing between mono and bi-amping. Turn it clockwise and the two terminals are linked so you can drive the speaker from one source: anti-clockwise and the terminals are split so you can connect the high frequency and low frequency separately.
