The Audio Technica AT-PHA100 portable headphone amplifier has a built-in USB DAC, making it compatible with PCM 384 kHz/32 bit and high fidelity DSD sources for great high resolution audio listening. It is built around innovative, hand-selected audio components for rich and detailed sound reproduction. Equipped with both analogue and digital (USB micro-B) inputs and a 3.5mm headphone jack output, the PHA100 can be used as a straight headphone amp, or a USB DAC with computers and smartphones.
High quality components are used throughout the PHA100, from the DAC ESS ES9018K2M circuit digital-to-analogue converter, which reproduces a higher clarity sound with less interference and extended volume range, to the NJR MUSES 8832 pre-amp, which delivers rich, powerful sound, and the Texas Instruments LME49720 op-amp to suppress distortion across all frequencies. The internal rechargeable lithium polymer battery delivers up to 14 hours playback with an analogue signal, and up to 6 hours with digital signal.
High quality construction
The PHA100's all-aluminium enclosure protects the delicate circuitry. The machined aluminium volume knob adds to the premium finish.
The PHA100 comes with two rubber bands and a rubber mat for securing to a smartphone or portable audio device. A 1m USB cable (USB 2.0 to USB micro-B) and a 10cm audio cable terminating in a 3.5 mm gold-plated stereo mini plug at each end are also provided.
