1 x MARANTZ CD6004 CD PLAYERThe Marantz CD6004 is a smart, robust CD/MP3 player, using high grade components to ensure stunning detail and clarity from your CDs and digitally stored music, including your iPod.
It features a Cirrus Logic (CS4398) digital to analogue converter, analogue stereo output, coaxial and optical digital output and support for CD-Text. The CD 6004 will also play MP3, Windows Media Audio (WMA) and AAC (iTunes) files either from CD-R/RW discs created on a computer or from compatible USB memory sticks, flash drives or portable MP3 Players. You can also connect an iPod via the USB socket and enjoy digital transfer of your favourite portable music.
It's predecessor, the CD6003, was already a class leader, and Marantz have managed to improve on it via several upgrades. 1 x Q ACOUSTICS 2020i SPEAKERS (PAIR) Based on the award winning 2020 speakers, the Q-Acoustics 2020is (the i stands for improved) are medium sized bookshelf/standmount speakers which deliver a full bass and clean top end making them a very attractive choice. The flexible 2020is are comfortable with any music genre and suitable for use with most amplifiers, in both hifi and home cinema set-ups.
Their two way, bass-reflex configuration allows the 2020is to deliver a sound which is both impressively detailed and weighty. This is largely due to the advanced driver technology. Improvements over the 2020 speakers include a new multi-layer cone tweeter with 'super-decoupling' from the speaker's baffle. There's also a new carbon fibre and ceramic-coated paper woofer, resulting in incredibly low levels of distortion for a smooth, open sound. The revised crossover ensures a spacious, detailed soundstage, with a clean top-end and impressive bass performance.
They also feature an innovative connection system. Instead of terminals protruding from the rear of the speaker in the conventional manner, the 2020is' terminals are located in a recessed panel on the bottom of the speaker.
