Since this story was published, the Newcastle branch has reopened.
We've just
completed an overhaul of the main demonstration room at our Manchester branch.
Gone are the old wallpaper, carpet tiles and fluorescent lighting and in their
place we've fitted a smart wooden floor with its own carpeted surround, modern
low-voltage lighting and a new suspended ceiling. We've also given the walls a
lick of paint too!
This is a part of
our continuing refurbishment programme which has seen Coventry, Hull, Lincoln
and London branches refurbished in recent times. Also in-progress, our Newcastle
store (which we opened a year ago) is undergoing major structural work and we're
taking the opportunity to refurbish this branch too (look out for the grand
reopening sale very soon).

But at Manchester
the work has just begun. After our busy sale period at the start of 2003, we've
booked the rest of the store for a total refit - watch this space.
Pictures of the
refitted Manchester demonstration room will be published just as soon as the
Webmaster has finished the film!
