The Pioneer BDP-120 is a high-quality, slimline Blu-ray player that delivers a terrific performance and boasts bags of functionality.
With its HDMI connectivity the BDP-120 can deliver the Blu-ray movie experience in all its glory. Support for 1080p video ensures images are crisp, detailed and sharp, 'deep colour' gives a richer, more natural picture on compatible displays and with the 24 frames per second 'native film' format, motion is smooth and controlled. The BDP120 will also upscale DVDs to 1080p, so your existing collection will look fantastic too!
The BDP120 handles all the latest HD audio formats beautifully too. DTS-HD Master Audio, Dolby True HD and Dolby Digital Plus can all be output unaltered or decoded on-board (for output as Linear PCM) via HDMI. The '120 also has an optical digital output, making the player suitable for use with a wide range of older AV amps and receivers.
Blu-ray BD Profile 2.0 (BD-Live) compliance also lets you access extended online content, and even download and store it on the BDP120's included 1GB of storage. If this isn't enough you can simply connect a larger USB storage device to the rear socket. You can also view the interactive 'BONUSVIEW' features found on many Blu-ray discs. For example, picture-in-picture commentary - as you watch the movie, the director pops up in the corner of the screen as a 'talking head' and gives you behind the scenes information.
