This sizzling system combines two perfectly matched, Onkyo, slimline hifi separates, the A-5VL Amplifier and the C-S5VL CD/SACD Player. Together they deliver a detailed, full and spacious sound and make an attractive pairing too.
A-5VL Amplifier
The Onkyo A-5VL is a slender, yet very capable amplifier featuring both optical and coaxial digital inputs , 3 stereo line inputs, a tape loop and a turntable input suitable for both moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC) cartridges, allowing you to connect a host of sources.
With 2 x 40 (RMS) amplification, the A5VL has enough power of tap to handle even the more demanding tracks at decent volume levels and coupled with Onkyo's VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) technology, the amp delivers a smooth, detailed and hugely enjoyable sound.
All this plus remote control operation, Burr-Brown 192kHz/24-Bit DACs, twin independently selectable speaker outputs and a pure direct mode to bypass tone controls, make the Onkyo A5VL a very capable and terrific value integrated amplifier.
C-S5VL CD/SACD Player
The Onkyo C-S5VL is a slim and very capable Super Audio CD (SACD) and CD player with a high-quality build and a host of playback functions.
Featuring a thick, anti-resonant chassis, high-end Wolfson Digital to Analogue converters, Onkyo's VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry) and a jitter correction system, the CS5VL delivers a clean, full and detailed sound from SACDs and CDs alike. It also supports playback from CDs created on a computer and discs containing MP3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio) files.
Stylish an great sounding, the Onkyo C-S5VL CD player is a hugely entertaining listen.
