Using components from higher-end separates, the Denon DBP-1610 is a superb Blu-ray/DVD player which delivers an inspiring video and audio performance.
The 1610 ticks all the right boxes in terms of functionality - it features HDMI connectivity with 1080p video upscaling and is able to handle the 24 frames per second 'native film' format, supports Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio high definition audio and is BD-Live (Profile 2.0) ready, allowing you to take advantage of the additional on-line content found on many Blu-ray titles. Add to this playback of DivX, DivX-HD and AVCHD movies, MP3 and WMA music and JPEG photo files, an SD memory card slot for playing music and photo files, and a smart remote control with illuminated keys.
But the DBP1610 isn't all about functionality, it's also about quality. Designed using high-quality video and audio components and featuring independent analogue/digital and video/audio blocks to achieve an interference free architecture, a Burr Brown 192kHz/24-Bit audio DAC, 10-bit video processing and a sturdy, robust chassis, the player delivers fantastically dynamic audio and vivid, natural and detailed imagery.
