The Pioneer VSX-819HS is a 5.1 channel receiver which represents great value for money without skimping on performance or functionality.
With 5 x 130 watts of amplification (into 6 Ohms), HDMI connectivity, decoding of HD audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio and support for full HD 1080p images, the '819 is perfect for Blu-ray but will also get the best performance from upscaling DVD players too.
The VSX819H also features a handy front panel USB socket which you plug an iPod into and enjoy direct digital transfer of all your portable tracks. Whatever you listen to, speaker setup and calibration is easy thanks to the MCACC auto-microphone calibration system.
All this plus an FM/AM tuner with 30 presets, multi-room capability via the 2nd zone audio output or amplified 2nd stereo speaker terminals, and an advanced sound retriever which improve the quality of compressed audio, the VSX-819H is a great all-rounder that delivers name-brand quality without breaking the bank.
