The MJ Acoustics Pro 55 subwoofer is a little gem. Despite its compact dimensions it packs in a custom designed, long throw 12 inch bass driver and a high quality, very flexible 150 watt amp. Power, depth and punch from a compact subwoofer.
Unique, adjustable, twin crossovers allow you to connect the subwoofer from a high-level (speaker) connection and low-level (single RCA/phono plug) source at the same time. This allows the Pro 55 to do two jobs at once.
Firstly, using the speaker level connection, it extends the bass of your front speakers right the way down to 10Hz. This sub will easily extend the bass range of big floor-standing speakers. The result of this is your front speakers can now convey the full power and weight of what's in the film or music you're listening to. With the dedicated controls for frequency and gain you can be sure that this will never get boomy, just deep and clear.
Secondly, using the low-level input, the Pro 55 performs as a powerful, dedicated bass channel for the effects in a 5.1 sound track. With separate crossover and level controls for the '.1' channel you can be sure that explosions and effects have all the power they need without losing quality.
The Pro 55 is a fantastic, flexible subwoofer ideal for when want high power, high volume and incredible depth as well as control and quality.
