The 2nd generation (2008) Apple iPod Touch builds on the success of its forebear and delivers an even better portable entertainment experience. It has improved battery life, side volume controls and a built in speaker for earphone-less listening. The revolutionary and iconic 3.5 inch multi-touch screen interface is still there - just touch and drag the screen to scroll through menus, tap to select and zoom in and out using a pinch motion. The Touch also packs in a huge amount of functionality. It will happily play audio, video and display photos stored on its large 32GB of flash memory. That's enough space for 7,000 songs, 40 hours of video or 25,000 photos.
But that's not all the iPod Touch can do. Using WiFi wireless networking the Touch can connect to the Internet, allowing you to surf the web using the sophisticated browser and navigate pages using the intuitive touch interface. The Apple iPod Touch also enables direct connection to the iTunes store, enabling music downloading and live video streaming from YouTube, whilst you're out and about.
With up to 36 hours of music playback on a single battery charge and easy synchronisation of music, videos, photos, calender information and contacts with a PC or Mac, the new incarnation of this iPod is a little Touch of magic.
