Based on its hugely successful, award-winning predecessors, the Sony RDR-HXD890 continues the trend by adding more functionality and improving performance.
The RDR-HXD890 is a DVD/hard disc recorder with both digital Freeview and analogue tuners. It can record up to to 455 hours of programmes onto its capacious 160GB hard disc, or 23 hours using the top quality, high bitrate recording mode. Via HDMI, the RDR-HXD890 will also upscale video to 1080p resolutions, so pictures will look fantastic on your HD LCD or plasma television, even if they're older, standard definition recordings.
But the list doesn't stop there! The RDRHXD890 also features DivX and MP3 playback, a USB socket for connection of compatible memory sticks, MP3 players or portable hard discs, an MP3 jukebox mode for easy music playback and even simultaneous photo slideshow with MP3 accompaniment.
Great quality recording with easy scheduling using the user-friendly Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), gorgeous playback of DVDs and recorded material and a solid, Sony-quality design and build, the RDR HXD890 is a top-notch PVR.
