The Ion Tape2PC is a multi-function cassette deck delivering advanced cassette playback, recording and archiving features.
If you have a large collection of cassettes and don't want to buy the CDs or MP3s to replace them, then the Tape2PC is perfect for you. It will convert cassettes to MP3 format for use on iPods, portable MP3 players and other MP3 compatible devices such as many hifi and stereo systems. Just plug the Tape2PC into a free USB port on your PC or Mac, install the conversion software and after a few clicks of your mouse, voilà - your cassettes are now MP3s! The software can even connect to the Internet-based Gracenote database for track identification and automatic naming.
The Tape2PC is also a fully functioning stand-alone cassette deck supporting recording from cassette to cassette, high speed dubbing and recording from external sources via the rear stereo line in socket. Of course, you can always use the Tape2PC to record CDs or other sources onto cassette for listening to in you car stereo.
