The DMP-BD30 is the first dedicated Blu-ray player to support the Profile 1.1 standard (also known as Bonus View), allowing you to use the advanced interactive features found on many Blu-ray movie discs. For example, picture-in-picture commentary - as you watch the movie, the director pops up in the corner of the screen as a 'talking head' and gives you behind the scenes information.
Imagery is stunning thanks to Panasonic's P4HD (Pixel Precision Progressive Processing for HD) image processor, delivering razor sharp 1080p images and supporting 24 frames per second 'original film' frame rates. Motion is also incredibly smooth without loosing definition. The DMPBD30 will even upscale your DVDs to full 1080p resolutions making them look amazing on a large LCD or plasma.
Audio is equally fantastic. Via HDMI, the DMP BD30 supports bitstream output of Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and Dolby Digital Plus. Standard Dolby Digital and DTS are also supported and can be output via HDMI, coaxial or optical digital connection or from the 5.1ch or stereo analogue sockets. Whatever your set-up - the latest receiver, an older amplifier, or just integrated TV speakers - the DMP-BD30 will deliver a superb performance.
