The Aktimate Mini Stereo Speakers are perfect for iPod lovers or those wanting a pair of discreet desktop/bookshelf speakers. Unlike most bookshelf sized speakers, the Aktimate Minis feature a built in amplifier meaning that you just plug them into the mains, plug in your iPod or other source and you're away - no need for a separate external amplifier.
The Aktimate Minis' compact proportions belie their impressive performance. The integrated 2 x 40 watt amplifier, designed by hifi guru Mike Creek, easily drives the 25mm tweeter and 130mm woofer, producing a punchy and enjoyable sound. Additionally, the Aktimates' stereo line out socket allows you to add a subwoofer or another pair of stereo speakers.
On the top of one of the speakers is in an iPod dock allowing you to pop in your iPod and instantly enjoy your music. Your iPod will charge whilst connected and you can even control it using the supplied remote control. iPod Shuffle and non-iPod MP3 player owners - don't panic, because the Aktimate Mini speakers feature two stereo line in sockets so you can your connect your player and other devices, such as computers, CD/DVD players and tuners. There's also a USB socket so you can charge your portable player directly from the speakers. It even features a composite video out socket, so you can watch videos or photos, stored on your iPod, on your television.
