The Denon DVD-1940 dvd1940 DVD Player is a fully-specified universal disc player with an awesome feature count.
The DVD1940 will play recordable format DVD & CD discs, multi-channel DVD-Audio & SACD discs, S/VCD format discs, JPEG photo CDs, MP3, Windows Media and DivX formats, enabling you to enjoy the popular audio and video formats available by download, those that you make yourself and the best from the shops too, using just the one Denon universal player.
And to ensure the best video and audio playback now and in the future, the Denon DVD-1940 features an HDMI 1.3 output (with video and audio support and HD upscaling for best picture no matter what your display), component video (with progressive scan) output and a multi-format scart socket too.
DENON AVR2308:
The Denon AVR-2308 is a mid/high range AV receiver with a great specification and a multitude of useful features. Acting as the central hub of your home audio/cinema system, the AVR2308 effortlessly handles all your input/output switching, video and audio processing and amplification.
The Denon AVR 2308 is a full 7.1 system featuring a 7 x 100 watt amplifier. The AVR2308 can also be used in a 5.1 configuration with biamped front stereo output for superior sound from bi-wireable speakers. The AVR-2308 decodes Dolby Digital and DTS audio and can also handle high defintion audio such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD when output through HDMI as PCM from sources such as Blu-ray or HD-DVD players.
The Denon AVR-2308 also handles HD video. HDMI 1.3a connectivity ensures compatibility with HD generation LCDs, plasmas, Blu-ray and HD-DVD players. Component video, S-video and composite video connections also guarantee connection to older devices and thanks to the Faroudja DCDi processing, the AVR2308 will upscale all these formats up to 1080p and output them via HDMI. This means that whatever device you connect, the best possible image will be output.
All these features and a distinguished design including an aluminium front panel and volume control make the Denon AVR-2308 a classy and very capable AV receiver.
