The Samsung DVD-SH853M is a DVD/hard disc recorder with digital (Freeview) TV reception. Its large 160GB hard disc can store up to 264 hours of recordings. The DVD-SH853 is also a DVD recorder so you can either record directly onto a DVD disc, or transfer hard disc recordings that you want to keep or play in a different DVD player. You can even record a programme whilst watching another recording. It's not just TV that you can record, but also content from external devices such as VCRs and digital cameras.
The DVD-SH853M isn't all about recording though. It will play DVD and DivX video and upscale both to 1080i high definition (via HDMI connection) so they'll look great on large LCD and plasma televisions. In addition, you can also listen to your MP3s, display your photos and watch or record content from your digital camcorder.
