The Pioneer LX-01 is a complete solution giving you everything you need to transform your living room in to an impressive home cinema. The LX-01 system consists of a DVD/hard disc recorder with Freeview TV tuner and a unique surround sound speaker system suitable for use as a full 5.1 setup or a 2.1 system with virtual surround sound.
With the DVD/HD recorder you can receive both digital Freeview (DVB-T) and analogue TV, play DVDs (with fully upscaled, High Definition 1080p output), CDs and S/VCDs and even MP3 and WMA files. But that's only half the story, because you can also record content from TV or external sources to either DVD or the large 250GB internal hard disc. With up to 711 hours of recording time, there's no reason why you should ever miss your favourite programmes again.
The unique, eye-catching speaker system is simple, yet clever. Each speaker contains multiple drivers allowing sound to be 'fired' in different directions. The satellite speakers can be placed at the front and rear of the room for true 5.1 sound, or at the front of the room for high quality 2.1 and virtual surround effects. The large dual driver subwoofer delivers powerful bass which will make your music more realistic and movies more energetic. There's also support for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio, so you can add a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player via HDMI and enjoy HD sound as well as HD pictures!
