The I.US XPC500 is a PC media centre which draws on the qualities of the HiFi, home cinema and computer worlds. On the one hand, the XPC-500 is a fully functional personal computer running Windows Vista and featuring full Internet/email access, office tools, and excellent gaming capabilities. On the other hand, it's an easy to use, remote controlled media player with Freeview reception and recording, DVD playback, 5.1 channel analogue/digital audio output and HDMI video output supporting 1080p.
NVIDIA GeForce 8 series graphics with PureVideo technology ensures excellent image quality at huge resolutions. In fact the XPC 500 goes beyond 1080p, sporting a maximum XHD (Extreme High Definition) resolution of 2560 x 1600. This means a superb picture on the latest PC monitors and future proofing for the next generation of LCD/plasma televisions.
The XPC500 features impressive hardware including a powerful Athlon 64-bit X2 dual core CPU, 2GBs of RAM, a huge 500GB serial-ATA hard disc for massive amounts of storage space, wired and wireless networking, a 50-in-1 card reader for photo transfer from digital cameras and USB and FireWire connectivity. An external USB hub is also included for future hardware upgrades.
A Windows Media Centre remote gives full control of all media functions allowing you to sit back and enjoy the superb home cinema experience. An iPod dock is also included for easy connection to your iPod and iTunes comes pre-installed on the XPC500.
