Use the MJ Acoustics DHLI-001 Digital High Level Interface with twin-crossover equipped subwoofers, when connecting using both high and low level feeds to amplifiers with digital amplifier output stages or bridge-tied-load (BTL) configurations. BTL is when you bridge two speaker outputs on your amplifier in to one channel or if the amplifier's designed with an output already bridged in this manner.
This is known on PASS LABS amplifiers, all Sony Syncmaster and some other Sony models (including STR-DA1200ES) and some Harmon Kardon models too, but this list is not exhaustive.
The DHLI001 will serve this protective function with any manufacturer's subwoofer, when combined with such amplifiers and is therefore an essential protection for your AV receiver, in such configurations.
