The hugely impressive Xeno series - XM1 stereo speakers, XC1 centre speaker and the "mighty atom" Pro 50 MkII subwoofer are presented here as a glorious, perfectly matched 5.1 channel hifi/home cinema surround sound system.
MJ Acoustics have received high accolades for their awesome series of subwoofers such as the 5 star rated (What Hifi, Nov 2006) Pro 50MkII included with this system. To accompany the sub, MJ designed the XM1 speaker. With a crystal clear top end, dynamic mid range and with a very impressive low frequency response for a bookshelf sized speaker, the XM1s certainly deliver a true hifi sound. The XC1 centre speaker features the same high performance as the XM1 but is tailored to suit the vocal range and features dual low/mid range drivers producing extra bass for even the gruffest of voices.
Combining two pairs of XM1 satellites, and XC1 centre and the Pro 50MkII subwoofer, the Xeno 5.1 package is an absolute delight. The subwoofer's separate low and high level inputs with independent gain controls makes the system easy to setup for both hifi and home cinema and in either application it will produce an exciting and expansive experience.
