What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Five Stars
September 2007
"Smart styling; compatible with 24fps 1080p content; detailted, pictures with impressing depth; insightful sound", "If you want a Blu-ray player today, buy this one: there's nothing better in that high-def camp right now".

The Pioneer BDP-LX70 is a Blu-ray/DVD networked media player. The unit is capable of outputting video at high definition and at 24 frames per second (also known as "24p"), through HDMI. 24p presents you with the film at the same frame rate as it was shot by the film director, delivering a more faithful, undoctored representation of the movie, bringing you that much closer to the cinema experience, in your home.

Audio is provided through a good selection of digital and audio outputs, and both traditional audio formats (Dolby Digital, DTS) and the new HD formats (Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD) can be converted and output as linear PCM, ensuring compatibility with older AV receivers. In addition, networking functionality allows you to stream supported video and audio material directly from your networked PC.

With stylish design and high build quality, the BDP-LX70 is ideal for those wishing to enjoy the latest, high-quality pictures and sound that Blu-Ray can deliver.
