The Logitech Harmony 1000 Advanced Universal Remote Control represents the
next generation in remote device control. The remote features a large, colourful
3.5" (9cm) touch screen designed for 'one-touch' operation. Simply choose the
activity you want, such as 'Watch a DVD', and the remote will power up and
configure your TV, DVD, and sound system, and even start the DVD!
The Harmony 1000 can be connected to a computer using USB and set up using the
easy to use wizard. The remote can control up to 15 devices and is compatible
will a huge number of infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) devices. With the
Harmony Wireless Extender (sold separately) the Harmony 1000 can even control
devices inside cabinets or in the next room. Thanks to Z-Wave functionality, the
remote can also control compatible lighting and heating devices and other
complaint appliances. The remote can even learn commands from old remote control
devices, simply by pointing them at the Harmony 1000.
The remote can also be updated from the internet, via a computer, using
Logitech's ever-expanding online database which contains information and
settings for over 175,000 devices from over 5,000 manufacturers. This easy to
use system ensures that the Harmomy 1000 never becomes out of date.
The remote is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and is supplied
with a handy recharging stand ensuring that the device is always charged and to
hand.
The Harmony 1000 has a sleek design, brushed aluminium finish and blue backlit
controls. Display items such as icon and background images are customizable
allowing you to personalise you remote, and it also powers up from standby when
touched or moved. The Harmony 1000 Universal Remote Control will be a luxurious
addition to your living room.
