The Pioneer VSX917V VSX-917V AV Receiver is a full 7.1 decoder and 7 x 90 watts amplifier, delivering the latest Dolby Digital and DTS decoding and featuring advanced video format conversion.
Setup is simple thanks to the supplied microphone and auto-calibration technology, and it features high-grade 192kHz/24 Bit DACs (Digital to Analogue converters), which provide a sweeter sound from digital sources. The VSX-917's on-board video format conversion means that you can connect multiple sources of different types to the receiver and output a single, high-quality, signal lead to your display.
The amplifier and switching extends to provide greater flexibility. Configure the 917 for 7.1 or 5.1 sound with bi-amped front speakers - particularly appealing if you listen to a lot of stereo music, delivering superior soundstaging and separation from the front speakers. The tuner picks up both FM & AM transmissions, too.
