The Audiolab 8000CD is a completely new design, built to take advantage of the latest, bespoke-designed transport and high-end Crystal DACs, for superior sound. Independent digital and analogue stage power supplies give the 8000CD the performance advantages of many two box CD players.
The supplied remote control is backwards-compatible with older Audiolab systems, should you wish to use the new 8000CD with an older, remote control Audiolab amplifier.
The Audiolab 8000S is a legendary amplifier, capable of driving speakers ranging from the easiest to the toughest loads. It offers unique system flexibility - for use as a straight-forward integrated amplifier or as part of an expanding system with add-on power amplifiers or as part of a home cinema system. The 8000S also boasts high-quality features, including a headphone output, three tape loops and remote control functionality.
Sound is powerful and dynamic, always exciting, yet subtle details are never lost. The amp combines musical energy and revealing detail. The conservative 60 watt rating belies massive power, this amplifier is capable of delivering over 25 Amps of output current - enough for the most demanding of speaker loads and capable of delivering superb dynamic range.
The Quad 21Ls are a floor-standing bargain. The hand-lacquered cabinets are supplied in a stunning real-wood finish - complimenting traditional and contemporary living rooms - whilst the scale, presence and immediacy of the sound is simply wonderful. Music is conveyed with effortless authority and, rather than forcing the sound at you, the 21Ls are articulate and clean, ensuring that every subtle nuance can be appreciated.

Mode selector switches the Audiolab 8000S from a standard integrated amplifier in to a dedicated pre-amplifier (disabling all power amp functionality and power use), a pre & power amplifier (activating the pre-amp outputs whilst leaving the power amplifier stage active) or in to "pre-power AV" mode (decoupling the pre and power amplifier stages, allowing the easy addition of an add-on decoder or receiver for superior home cinema integration).
