Used in conjunction with a standard Sky installation, the Humax HDCI-2000 delivers free HDTV services, including the BBC's sports, nature & entertainment programming. It will also work with European High and Standard Definition, subscription-based & Free-To-Air services, at different satellite positions.
The box features an HDMI output for 780p or 1080i video resolution and an optical digital output, with full Dolby Digital support. And because it's for use with FREE TO AIR services, there's no additional fees or subscriptions to pay - the ideal companion for your High-Definition-ready flatscreen at home, or for showing
High Definition sporting events in pubs and clubs, without the need to pay Sky's very high fees.
Setting up is simple: connect the feed from your dish in to this Humax receiver and then
use an F lead such as the
"QED Qunex STV" to daisy-chain the signal on to your Sky box. Switching
between High Definition and your existing Sky service is as simple as switching
the Humax box in and out of standby and you can leave your Sky receiver
connected to your existing equipment, as normal.
