The Sony SCDXA9000ES is top of Sony's range and no attention to detail has been spared. The player weighs in at a hefty 16 kilograms, largely due to the extreme build (internal bracing, ultra thick casework, copper plated chassis) and also thanks to the high-quality fixed pick-up CD transport (the laser remains static, whilst the disc is moved below, leading to improved disc tracking).
Optical and coaxial digital outputs are to be expected, however the inclusion of an i-Link digital interface ensures future-proofing and connectability with some of the best digital amplifiers and recorders available, whilst high-end refinements such as dual R-Core transformers, which deliver clean power without noise, ensure the very best performance.
The Sony SCDXA9000EX is designed for the discerning connoisseur of digital audio.
