The STR-VA555ES is Sony's
top-end ES home cinema receiver, packed with advanced features to deliver
superior performance and flexibility. Once you've hooked up your system
(there are plenty of inputs and outputs to cater for your needs) you can
choose from a number of the latest surround sound formats (including Dolby
Pro-Logic II, DTS NEO 6 or ES and Dolby Digital 6.1) to wrench the best
multi-channel sound from your music and movies. And there's a hefty 6 x 90
watts output, capable of driving all sorts of speakers and delivering the
dynamic range of the most demanding soundtrack.
I could also mention the
555's advanced touch-panel 2 way remote control, or the FM/MW tuner with
RDS, or even the dual 6 channel input for use with any combination of
SACD/DVD-Audio player or external multi-channel decoder - but that would
be bragging!
