The Marantz CR-502 is a stylish, compact, all-in-one hifi system featuring 4 x 25 watt amplification, giving you extra flexibility to match the system to your needs. The extra amplifier channels can be used to drive a second set of speakers (perhaps in another room) or can be used to bi-amplify a set of suitable hifi speakers to give a higher quality sound. When you are using two channels instead of all four, the CR502 automatically uses a pair of amp channels per speaker to give you a more powerful 50 watt per channel output. With 2 stereo line inputs and a tape loop, you'll be able to connect your other devices such as a DVD player, games console and tape deck. There's also a subwoofer pre-output for connection to an additional powered sub if you want more bass.
The classy front panel holds the CD drive capable of playing your CD collection and MP3/WMA discs. If your MP3/WMA files aren't on a CD, don't panic, because the front panel USB socket allows you to connect memory sticks and portable hard drives for playback. You also have the option of listening to the built in DAB, FM and AM tuners, so you're fully future-proofed.
